These pictures by Daniel Gorden look like magic (or the technological equivalent), but they are real, and both subject and object feel neither the need for any fantastical glaze or glamorous setting. That is him in his pictures. Natural as a bird above fields.
Think about continuing on a dredge and the entire body feels heavy, the mind dull. A spark of reprieve comes, escape is possible, and suddenly you’re moving on a flying start.
It’s never really about a lack of energy.
I think we just need to remember that, and we’ll always know we can fly. Pretty much anytime.
