“Swine-flu boy”

Just a year ago Mexico was busy shipping out the swine flu virus, and the world criss-crossed with masked travellers and fear.

There had been a boy named Edgar Hernández who died from it. He became ‘Patient Zero’, a martyr in death, and in his honour, a  statue erected on one of the country’s highest mountains.
